I've been using EAC for over 4 years now, and recently a friend asked me about the "Quality" of my MP3 songs. I did not understand the question because I've been happy with my EAC MP3s since the very first time but now I've been reading about 128, 256, and even 320 (bits per second?) quality settings that I was not aware of before my friend asked me. So, what are the "bits per second" quality of my EAC MP3s?
The default setting in Easy Audio Copy is -V2 which is a variable bitrate (VBR) that targets quality level instead of a specific bitrate and averages around 190 kbps. The setting can be changed (if desired) using the Advanced Options tool but I wouldn't change things if you don't understand what the settings do. -b 128, -b 256, & -b 320 are constant bitrates (CBR).
